This chapter summarises the most common problems you could encounter with the appliance. If

you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, contact the Consumer Care

Centre in your country.

Problem

Solution

The appliance does

not go on when I turn

the control knob to

PULSE or to speed 1

or 2.

Make sure the food processor, blender jar, juicer or meat mincer is

assembled properly (‘click’). If you are not using the food processor, the

juicer or the meat mincer, make sure the screw cap is assembled

correctly on the motor unit. If you are using the blender jar, make sure

the rib on the blender jar is directly opposite the print on the motor

housing. If you are using the food processor, make sure that the dots

indicated on the bowl and lid are directly opposite each other and the

dot on the bowl is directly opposite the dot on the motor unit. If all

parts are assembled correctly, the appliance starts to operate when you

turn the control knob to PULSE or to speed 1 or 2.

The

appliance suddenly

stops running.

The thermal safety cut-out has probably cut off the power supply to the

appliance because the appliance has overheated. 1) Turn the control

knob to O to switch off the appliance. Unplug the appliance. 2) Let the

appliance cool down for 1 hour. 3) Put the mains plug in the socket. 4)

Switch on the appliance again.

Both the blender jar

and the food

processor bowl are

attached, but only the

blender works.

If both the blender and the food processor are assembled correctly onto

the motor unit, only the blender works. If you want to use the food

processor, remove the blender from the motor unit and screw the screw

cap onto the motor unit.

The balloon beater or

kneading accessory

does not turn.

Make sure the balloon beater or kneading accessory is assembled

properly onto the tool holder. Also make sure the food processor bowl

and the lid are assembled properly (‘click’).

The meat looks as if it

has been ‘pressed

through’ rather than

minced.

Make sure the cutting edges of the cutter unit point outwards.

The meat mincer does

not work.

Make sure the gear housing and the cutter housing are assembled

properly (‘click’).

I cannot place the

cutter unit properly in

the cutter housing.

Unscrew the screw ring a little and then place the cutter unit and the

grinding disc properly onto the worm shaft. Then screw the screw ring

properly onto the cutter housing.

The meat mincing

result is too coarse.

You used the medium grinding disc. Use the fine one. Mince the meat

again to get a finer result.

The metal parts of the

meat mincer look

rusty.

You have probably cleaned these parts in the dishwasher. You have to

clean all parts of the meat mincer by hand and dry them immediately

with a tea towel.
