Creating a new phone book entry (continued)

Using the telephone base

1. Press the

MENU softkey when the telephone base s n dle mode.

2. Press the

SELECT softkey to enter the Phone Book menu.

3. Press the

NEW softkey to create a new phone book entry.

4. Enter the name (up to 16 characters) by usng the dal pad (

0-9). See the character chart on page 74.

Each tme a dal key s pressed, the characters on that key wll be hghlghted accordng to the

number of key presses. For nstance, for the letter a, press the

2 dial pad key five times.

Press the

LEFT and RIGHT NavKeys to move the cursor left and rght.

Press the

ERASE softkey to backspace and delete a hghlghted character.

5. Press the

DONE softkey to store the name.

6. Enter the telephone number (up to 32 dgts) by usng the dal pad (

0-9).

• Press the

LEFT and RIGHT NavKeys to move the cursor left and rght.

• Press the

ERASE softkey to backspace and delete a hghlghted dgt.

• Press and hold

# untl a P appears on the dsplay to enter a pause.

7. Press the

DONE softkey when finished entering the telephone number.

8. Press the

SAVE softkey to store the entry.

–OR–

Press the

UP and DOWN NavKeys to hghlght and edt the name or number (see steps 4 and 6),

then press the

SAVE softkey to store the entry.

any changes and

return to the

Phone

Book menu.
