Troubleshooting Phaser 750 Printers
Image shifts or margins are incorrect (Macintosh)
■
Make sure that you have installed the driver for this printer, or the correct PPD file
onto your Macintosh so that you can select the correct page sizes from the driver.
■
If printing on transparencies and your printer has the Automatic Duplex/Lower Tray
Assembly, make sure that the
TRANSPARENCY
tray is installed in the middle tray slot.
Output is single-sided
■
Make sure that you have installed the Lower Tray Assembly and that the Duplex Unit
is inserted in the upper slot of the printer.
■
Make sure that you have loaded the paper tray with paper and installed it in the
middle or lower slot of the printer.
■
Make sure that you have configured your printer driver to recognize the Lower Tray
Assembly and Duplex Unit. Refer to the printer’s Setup Guide for instructions.
■
Make sure that you have made the selection for duplex printing, using one of these
methods (driver selections override other settings):
■
Front Panel: Under Duplex in the Printer Defaults menu.
■
Print screen: Using a supported driver, select Print on Both Sides or 2-Sided
Printing.
Frequent jams at the Duplex Unit
■
Use only laser paper.
■
Laser paper must be between 75 - 90 g/m
2
(20 - 24 lb.) in weight.
■
Clean the rollers inside the Duplex Unit with 90 percent isopropyl alcohol.
Margins on the first side and second side of a duplex print are not aligned
■
Adjust the margins using the front panel Margin Adjust menu. Instructions are
included in this menu.
Second side of a duplex print is upside-down
■
Select the correct method for binding preference in the front panel or the Print screen.
■
Long-edge binding: Page turns on the long side, regardless of image orientation.
■
Short-edge binding: Page turns on the short side, regardless of image
orientation.
