2.6.4 Installing External VGA Monitor
The notebook is capable of driving both its internal LCD display and an
external VGA monitor (LCD only, simultaneous, or CRT only). The external
monitor connector pinouts and connector locations are shown in Figure
2-14.
To install an external monitor:
1. Turn off power to both the notebook and monitor.
2. Connect the 15-pin external VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA
connector.
3. Power up the computer first; the turn on power to the monitor.
4. Setup for LCD only, simultaneous LCD and external monitor or external
monitor only using SystemSetup or the WinMode Utility in Windows.
You can also use the VGA utility under DOS.
