OTHER PROBLEMS
CORRECTIVE ACTION
If you need the skipped channels,
restore them (

pg. 14).
Press PAUSE to pause the recording,
change channels, then press PLAY to
resume recording.
Re-set the remote control to the
correct brand (

pg. 82 or 83 or 84).
Select a different Host Channel during
the Semi-Auto setting procedure
(

pg. 11), or perform the Manual
setting procedure (
੬
pg. 12).
SYMPTOM
1. When scanning channels, some of
them are skipped over.
2. The channel can’t be changed.
3. The remote control won’t operate
my TV or cable box or DBS receiver.
4. Even though Auto or Semi-Auto
clock setting has been selected, the
clock is incorrect.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
● Those channels have been preset to
be skipped.
● Recording is in progress.
● The remote control brand setting is
incorrect.
● The clock setting data received from
the Host Channel is incorrect.
ATTENTION
This recorder contains microcomputers. External electronic noise or interference can cause microcomputer to malfunction. If the
recorder does not operate correctly switch its power off and unplug the power cord from the AC supply. Wait for a while and then
plug the power back in. Eject and check the condition of the cassette. If everything appears normal resume operating the recorder as
usual.
TIMER RECORDING
SYMPTOM
7. Cable channels are not automatically
switched during timer recording.
8. Satellite channels are not automati-
cally switched during timer
recording.
9. Timer recording begins as sched-
uled, but the channel is always
incorrect.
10.We moved, and now the recorder
Plus+ system doesn’t work properly.
11. “PROGRAM FULL” is displayed on
the screen.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
● The Controller is not properly
connected to the recorder.
● The output channel selected in the
Cable Box Set screen is incorrect.
● The cable box’s power is off.
● The Controller is not properly
connected to the recorder.
● The output channel selected in the
DBS Receiver Set screen is incorrect.
● The recorder is not set correctly to
control the DBS Receiver.
● The DBS receiver’s power is off.
● Even though you don't use an
external Cable Box, “CABLE BOX
SET” is set to “ON”.
● The receivable stations in the new area
are received on different channels than
those in the previous area.
● All 16 programs are used.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Connect the Controller correctly

After confirming your cable box’s
output channel number, re-access the
Cable Box Set screen and select the
correct number (

pg. 16).
Make sure the power is on before
timer recording starts.
Connect the Controller correctly

DBS Receiver Set screen and select the
