2-9 Setting Up Your Printer
5 Firmly pull the tab and sealing tape straight out until all 22
inches (56 cm) of clear tape are completely out of the car-
tridge.
Discard the tab and tape.
6 Make sure the toner cartridge is in position by pushing it in
as far as it will go; then close the printer.
Installing the Paper Cassettes
1 Remove the cassette covers.
Discard the cardboard packing materials from inside the cas-
settes.
2 Load the cassettes with paper.
Make sure the paper lies flat.
» Note: A label on the cassette shows which paper size to use. Use only
that size. As a cassette is inserted in the printer, it sends an
identifying signal to the printer’s controller board so the printer can
