8. In the client communication mode window, select the port on which the client

listens for requests. The default port is 1950.

The client can operate in one of these communication modes:

Push

This is the mode in which communication can be initiated from
both sides, client and server. This is the recommended mode for
workstations, as only this mode enables the client to use DHCP
administered IP addresses.

Pull

In this mode the client listens for server requests, but the server
always initiates communication sessions. This setting is useful
for traffic across a firewall, but only for static IP addresses.

Accept the defaults and click Next.

Note: Push mode is the more scalable approach. Use pull mode only when
absolutely required.
