Replacing and Adding Internal Devices

Install the two drive mounting rails to the new hard drive, making sure
the front rail extensions are towards the front of the device. The rails are
labeled.

Align the rails with the open bay at the bottom of the drive stack, then
slide the drive into the stack until the locking tabs snap into place (make
sure that the data and power connectors on the drive face the inside of
the server).

Connect the power and data cables to the drive. (See the drive
documentation for proper cable orientation.)

Close the case. (See “Closing the case” on page 27.)

Reconnect the power cord and all other external peripheral devices, then
turn on the system.
