Press the two green handles and lift the fan module out of the housing (see

figure 17

).

CAUTION!

Never leave the fan module slot empty for more than two minutes
during operation. Otherwise, excessive temperatures could damage
system components.

Ê

Insert the new fan module in the empty slot until it clicks into place. To make
sure the fan has engaged press again.

The new fan module is tested by Server Management. The LED then either
does not light at all (fan is ok) or lights up (fan is not ok).

Close the server (see

"Opening/Closing the server" on page 125

).
