CHAPTER 6 MAINTENANCE
6.1 Overview
The PrintPartner 20W printer, with its simple mechanism and latest electronics techniques, is highly reliable and
easy to maintain. Changing spare parts require no adjustments so that replacement is easy.
6.2 Preventive Maintenance
No scheduled maintenance is required. However, it is recommended that the printer be kept clean to increase the
service life and MTBF.
6.3 Maintenance Philosophy
The printer is designed to make maintenance as infrequent as possible. No periodic lubrication is required.
Quality assurance
• Every unit is checked before assembly.
• All products go through full inspection.
• All spare parts are easy to change. (MTTR: 0.5 h)
6.4 Diagnostics
6.4.1 ROM/RAM check
When power is turned on, a ROM sum and RAM write/read check are performed automatically.
6.4.2 Error display
Printer operation is checked by firmware and, if an error is detected, the error status is displayed on the LCD on the
control panel.
