The Generic command is used to setup the RIP mode and auto summary mode.
If there are any routers in your LAN, you can configure the LAN interface RIP parameters via the lan command.
The product supports 8 PVCs and you can configure the RIP parameters of each WAN via the wan command.
Move the cursor ">>" to wan command and press the enter key. The screen will now display the following
sub-menu.
Command: setup route rip wan <1~8>
Message: Please input the following information.
Active interface number <1~8>:
The screen will prompt as follow:
>> attrib Operation, authentication and Poison reverse mode
version RIP protocol version
authe Authentication code
Attrib command can configure RIP mode, authentication type and Poison reverse mode.
Version command can configure RIP protocol version.
Authe command can configure authentication code.
You can review the list of RIP parameters via the list command.
7.3.2.1.7 LAN
The LAN command allows the user to configure the LAN IP address, subnet mask and NAT network type. To
enter the LAN menu, move the cursor to the LAN command and press the enter key. The screen will now
display the following sub-menu.
>> address LAN IP address and subnet mask
attrib NAT network type
7.3.2.1.8 IP SHARE
You can configure Network Address Translation (NAT), Port Address Translation (PAT) and Demilitarized Zone
parameters in the ip_share menu. Move the cursor ">>" to the ip_share command and then press the enter
key. The screen will now display the following sub-menu.
>> nat Configure network address translation
pat Configure port address translation
dmz Configure DMZ host function
