ROUTE
You can setup the routing parameters using the route command. If the modem is configured as a router,.
move the cursor " >> " to the route command and press the enter key. The following sub menu will be
displayed.

Configure RIP tool
If the modem is connected to more than one network, it may be necessary to set up a static route between
them. A static route is a pre-determined pathway that the network information must travel to reach a specific
host or network.
With Dynamic Routing, you can enable the router function in the modem to automatically adjust to physical
changes in the network's layout. Using the RIP protocol, it determines the network packets' route based on
the fewest number of hops between the source and the destination. The RIP protocol regularly broadcasts
routing information to other routers on the network.
Static
You can set up to 20 sets of static route in static command. After entering the static menu, the screen will
display the follwing sub menu

add Add static route entry
delete Delete static route entry
list
Show static routing table
You can add up to 20 sets of static route by using the add command. Type in the IP information of the static
route including IP address, subnet mask and gateway.
You can delete the static route information via the delete command.
You can review the static routes by using the list command.
Rip
To configure Routing Information Protocol (RIP), you can use the rip command to setup the parameters. Move
the cursor ">>" to rip command and press the enter key. After entering the rip menu, the screen will display
the following sub menu
