Field Description
PVC Settings
VPI: Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) is the virtual path between two
points in an ATM network, ranging from 0 to 255.
VCI: Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI) is the virtual channel between
two points in an ATM network, ranging from 32 to 65535 (0 to 31 is
reserved for local management of ATM traffic).
Encapsulation Select the method of encapsulation provided by your ISP. You can
select LLC/SNAP or VC-Mux.
Channel
Mode
Select the WAN connection type. You can select 1483 Bridged, 1483
MER, PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), PPP over ATM (PPPoA), or 1483
Routed. In this example, PPPoE is selected.
PPP Settings Enter the username and password for PPP dial-up, which are provided
by your ISP.
Default Route You can select Enable or Disable.
DNS Settings
Obtain DNS Automatically: IP address is assigned by the office
end automatically. You need not to enter the IP address.
Use the following DNS server address: If you want to enter the
DNS server address manually, select it and enter the IP addresses
of primary DNS and secondary DNS.
After finishing the configuration, click NEXT. The page shown in the following figure
appears.
