☑ The Sunny Matrix has been reset to the factory settings. The Sunny Matrix restarts. This
procedure takes around 30 seconds.
8.10 Updating the firmware
Updating the Sunny Matrix can only be carried out using the Sunny Matrix Admin Tool. You can
download the Sunny Matrix Admin Tool from the download area at www.SMA.de/en. When you
save the Sunny Matrix settings with the Sunny Matrix Admin Tool, all settings remain after the firmware
update. If you do not save the settings, all Sunny Matrix settings will be lost.
1. Install Sunny Matrix Admin Tool as described in its user manual.
2. If there are several Sunny Matrix devices, select the desired Sunny Matrix in the Sunny Matrix
Admin Tool so that the line of the Sunny Matrix has a blue background.
3. In the Sunny Matrix Admin Tool selext the symbol for the Sunny Matrix Firmware
Update.
☑ A window with the available files for the firmware update opens.
4. Select the desired version.
5. Select [Next].
☑ A window for language selection opens.
6. Select the desired language for the interface of the Sunny Matrix.
7. Select [Next].
☑ A window for saving the Sunny Matrix settings opens.
☑ The firmware update starts and is automatically carried out.
8. Once the firmware update is complete, select [OK]
☑ The firmware update has been completed.
If Then
The available Sunny Matrix settings should be
saved and after the firmware update be
automatically restored. • Select "Yes".
• Select [Next].
☑ A window for saving the file opens
• Select [Save].
☑ The configuration is saved.
• Select [OK].
The available settings of the Sunny Matrix are not
necessary and can be deleted by the Firmware
update. • Select "No".
• Select [Next].
