6.3.1 Integrating the Sunny Matrix into the network automatically
1. Plug the Sunny Matrix patch cable into the router / switch.
If the patch cable is too short, you can extend or replace it, as described in section
9.1.2 ”Replacing or extending the patch cable” (page 63).
2. Enter the factory set Sunny Matrix IP address "192.168.0.169" (without speech marks) into the
web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer).
☑ The Sunny Matrix start page appears.
– If the start page of the Sunny Matrix does not open, the Sunny Matrix could not be
automatically integrated into the network due to the existing network settings. Integrate the
Sunny Matrix into the network manually as described in section 6.3.2 ”Integrating the Sunny
Matrix into the network manually” (page 29).
☑ The Sunny Matrix is integrated into the network.
6.3.2 Integrating the Sunny Matrix into the network manually
Connecting the Sunny WebBox directly to the computer
1. Plug the Sunny Matrix patch cable and the blue crossover cable supplied into the supplied
adaptor.
2. Plug the crossover cable directly into Ethernet connection of the computer.
Setting the computer to the Sunny Matrix network settings.
3. Select "Start > Settings > Control Panel" on the computer.
4. Carry out the following steps for the relevant computer operating system:
Windows Vista
Windows XP, Windows 2000
Select "Network and Sharing Center".
Select "Manage Network Connections".
With the right mouse button select the LAN connection to which the Sunny WebBox is
connected.
Select "Properties".
Activate "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP)"
and select [Properties].
Activate "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and select
[Properties].
