3 Safety
3.1 Appropriate Usage
The Sunny Matrix is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The ambient temperature must be
between -25 °C and +60 °C.
3.2 Safety Instructions
Please follow all operating and safety instructions in this manual. Failure to follow these instructions
may result in damage to the device and risk of personal injuries.
General information in order to avoid personal injury.
• Risk of lethal electric shock as a result of incorrect working on electrical devices:
– All electrical work on the Sunny Matrix must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Mount the Sunny Matrix out of reach of children.
• Risk of lethal electric shock when touching a porous electricity cable:
– The electricity cable is not suitable for installing outdoors. UV radiation makes the electricity
porous and touching the un-isolated wires carries the risk of lethal injury by electric shock.
Only use an electricity cable that is suitable for outdoor use in outdoor areas.
• Danger of injury due to heavy weight (25 kg) of the Sunny Matrix with the dimensions
800 mm x 1000 mm x 120 mm:
– Transport the Sunny Matrix with two people or with a cart.
– Mount the Sunny Matrix with at least two people.
General information in order to avoid damage to the device.
• Do not press on the screen of the Sunny Matrix. This could damage the screen.
• Damage as a result of penetrating rain or dust:
– Do not remove the 4 stud bolts on the sides of the Sunny Matrix (stud bolts, see
