8.1 Safety during Commissioning

Danger to life from electric shock due to live voltages
High voltages are present in the Transformer Compact Station. Touching live components results in death or serious
injury due to electric shock.
• When working on the Transformer Compact Station, always wear suitable personal protective equipment.
• Do not touch any live components.
• Follow the instructions precisely.
• Observe all warning messages on the product and in the documentation.
• Before performing any work on the Transformer Compact Station, ensure that no voltage is present in any of the
devices.
• Ensure that no disconnected devices can be reconnected.
• Ground and short-circuit the Transformer Compact Station.
• Cover or isolate any adjacent live components.

Risk of fire due to faulty connection
• Switch off all switching elements:
– Switch off the low-voltage power switch (see documentation of the low-voltage power switch).
– Switch off the high-voltage switchgear (see documentation of the high-voltage switchgear).
– Remove the fuses.
– Switch off the circuit breakers.
