Chapter 3 Configuring the NewsBrowse System
Encoder + Server stage
For this configuration stage you configure the NewsBrowse server to work together
with the single-channel encoder, NAS, and Profile XP server from the Encoder
stand-alone stage. MDI services are also required, as configured in the MDI stage.
The portion of the NewsBrowse system configured and tested in this stage is
illustrated by the following diagram.
Refer to “Two tier system diagram” on page 16 for a view of the entire NewsBrowse
system.
To do the basic configuration and testing for the Encoder + Server stage, do the
following:
