Troubleshooting
IMPORTANT:
•
The barcode stuck on the L1000-A chassis contains information about production and servicing.
Before you return a faulty L1000-A for serving, provide the barcode information of the L1000-A to
your local sales agent.

Keep the tamper-proof seal on one of the chassis cover's mounting screws intact. If you want to open
the chassis, contact the local sales agent of H3C for permission. Otherwise, H3C shall not be liable for
any consequence caused thereby.
Power supply system failures
Symptom
The L1000-A cannot be powered on. The power LED on the front panel is off.
Solution
1.
Turn off the power switch of the power source.
2.
Verify that the power source is operating correctly.
3.
Verify that the power cord is correctly, firmly connected.
4.
Verify that the power cord is in good condition.
If the cause cannot be located in the previous steps and the problem persists, contact your local sales
agent.
Fan failures
Symptom
After the L1000-A starts up, the following error message appears on the configuration terminal:
%Jun 22 16:11:37:485 2013 H3C DEV/4/FAN FAILED:
Fan 1 failed.
Solution
1.
Examine the ventilation holes of the L1000-A, and verify that the L1000-A has fans installed.
2.
Examine whether any fan has stopped rotating.
If the failures above occur, contact your local sales agent.
Configuration system failures
If the L1000-A runs normally after being powered on, the boot information is displayed on the
configuration terminal. If the configuration system is faulty, the configuration terminal displays garbled
characters or does not display anything.
