Performing basic configurations
This section describes the steps for performing basic configurations on the L1000-A. To enable the
L1000-A to communicate with other devices on the network, you must perform some basic
configurations on the L1000-A. To do so, first log in to the CLI or Web interface of the L1000-A. After
performing basic configurations for the L1000-A, you can configure the load balancing, security,
network, and high availability features for the L1000-A. For how to configure protocols and features on
the L1000-A, see the L1000-A configuration guides.
To configure attack prevention, virtual fragment assembly, and intrusion detection on the L1000-A, add
the related interfaces to security zones. In other cases, you do not need to add interfaces to security
zones. For more information, see the L1000-A configuration guides.
The syntax of commands and the Web interface vary with software versions.
