Available Paths: This control displays a list of previously defined PATHs defined on
this VI-5990. This list is used to select from, which PATHs are to be associated to the
defined tape controller.
Selected Paths: This list includes which PATHs are to be associated with this tape
controller. Use the [Add] and [Remove] buttons to populate this list from the ‘Available
Paths’ list.
Button Definitions
Add: Use this button to copy the selected PATH in the Available Paths list to the
Selected Paths list.
Remove: Use this button to remove the selected PATH in the Selected Paths list from
the list.
New: Pressing the [New] button changes the Index number to a data entry field,
allowing you to add another CU definition. Once the information is filled in for the new
CU, you must press the [Update] button to save the new definition.
Delete: Pressing this button will allow you to delete the currently selected Tape
Controller Index in the Tape Controller Index list from the list. You will be prompted to
verify the removal. Note that a deletion may be disallowed if the item that you are
attempting to delete is referenced on other panels. You may be required to delete items in
other locations first.
Update: Pressing this button saves the changes made to this panel up to the point when
the button was pressed. You must press the [Update] button before leaving the panel or
all changes will be lost.
Return: Pressing the [Return] button returns you back to the Configure Tape Drives
menu.
