MIDI IMPLEMENTATION IN THE DMV-PRO
Channel Voice Messages
The DMV-PRO can respond to Note On, Control Change, Program Change, Channel Pressure, and Pitch
Bend messages. In order to respond to these messages, the MIDI Base Channel must be set either to the
same channel of the incoming message, or to "ALL.” The other Channel Voice messages (Note Off and
Polyphonic Key Pressure) are always ignored.
Program Change
Presets can be recalled using the Program Change message. By default, there is a one-to-one mapping of
the requested "program" number to preset numbers in the DMV-PRO. This can be changed by the user (see
page 46). Note that MIDI allows "program" numbers up to 128, while the DMV-PRO has 100 presets.
