1.3.- HTML5 Client

The HTML5 and Java clients are responsible for displaying all information generated by the

communications engine and resource editor. Take into account that the client is a program that is
independent of the platform.

The HTML5 client is accessed directly from the web site, at the address where the engine is

installed, as in the case of the embedded Applet. One of the following browsers must be used: Google
Chrome (version 30.0 or higher), Internet Explorer (version 10.0 or higher), Mozilla Firefox (version
24.0 or higher), Opera (version 12 or higher) and Safari (version 5 or higher). A message will be
displayed if your browser is not supported by the system.

The client has been designed with a philosophy similar to its predecessor. In this case, a renewed

and innovative approach has been followed, with a focus on the display of PowerStudio in
smartphones and tablets.

HTML5 Client

As shown in the previous image, the client mainly consists of three different areas: the toolbar

on the top, the status bar on the top right and the active view in the centre. The window's title shows
the name of the view being displayed.

The toolbar shows all options available in the client, browsing through the views, a shortcut to

each view, the general options, etc. The current view displays the current active resource, i.e., a Scada
screen, a report, a device, etc. The status bar shows general information about the application,
indicating the status of server communications, active events, etc.
