Utility Priority
This command allows the user to change the priority at which all utilities run, when there are
active I/O operations competing for the controller's CPU. The choices are:
High
Medium
Low
For example, select High if the highest priority is to get the array back to a fully fault-tolerant
state. This will cause heavy I/O with the host to be slower than normal. Select Low if streaming
data without interruption is more important than data redundancy. This allows the Reconstruct
utility to compete at a slower rate with minimal effects on host I/O.
Alarm Mute
This command allows the user to mute (or unmute) the controller's onboard alarm. The setting
selected remains in effect until it is changed again by using this option.
New Sample Rate
NOTE:
Default sample rate is 1 second.
This command allows the user to set the frequency at which the controller samples data when
updating status screens. To change the sample rate, use é or ê keys.
Restore Defaults
This command allows the user to restore all of the configuration options back to their factory
default settings.
