Disk Configuration
This command allows the user to control writeback cache and Self-Monitoring And Reporting
Technology (SMART) settings for all the disks at once. Changes take effect at the next rescan
or reboot. To change the writeback cache setting for individual drives, use the Drive Utilities
Menu. Refer to section "Drive Utilities Menu" for further information.
Writeback Cache
This feature allows the user to modify the setting for the drive's writeback cache setting. This
can be set to ENABLE, DISABLE, or DON'T TOUCH (default setting).
SMART
This feature allows the user to modify the setting for SMART drives. This can be set to ENABLE,
DISABLE, or DON'T TOUCH (default setting).
Option Configuration Menu
The Option Configuration Menu allows the user to change the following:
Cache Lock
Battery
Enable Trust Array
Cache Lock
This command allows the user to prevent host systems from using SCSI mode select
commands to change the controller's writeback cache setting. If enabled, the host cannot
modify the cache setting. Default setting is OFF. This option is useful in some environ-ments
where the host system disables the controller's writeback cache, resulting in degraded
performance.
