Add an Array
NOTE:
Before adding an array, the user may want to set some of the configuration para-
meters. For example, the user may want to set the backoff percentage, which will
not affect the array after it has been created.
This command allows the user to create a new RAID array.
To add an array:
1.
Select Add an Array from the System Menu and press Enter.
2.
Type in a name for the array (or leave it blank) and press Enter (Figure 16). The name
will only show up in the array data shown on the controller and is not part of the inquiry
data given to the host.
NOTES: An array name can be added or modified later.
A warning will appear the first time an array is created. Press Enter and the sys-
tem will prompt "Do you want to be warned again?" Select "No" to avoid seeing this
warning again (or select "Yes" to be warned the next time an array is created).
