MAP MANAGER
Map Manager is a data file viewing and conversion tool. The following Swath XL/GuideLine/Fieldware data files
can be viewed in the Map Manager:
• .GMF - General Mapping File
• .BND - Field Boundary File
• .RCD - Spray Trajectory and Application Rate Record File
• .RPT - Application Report File
• .GLN - Guideline File
The current version of Map Manager can view any combination of the above file types, as well as the following
files used only by Fieldware:
• .ARM - Prescription File
• .SPT - Marked Sample Points File
• .SHP - ESRI Shape File
Map Manager also allows you to zoom, pan, and print the files displayed. (Figure 2) shows the a spray trajectory
record file, a boundary file, a hazard file, and the guideline file in a single Map Manager view. The left side of the
Map Manager window is the directory and file tree and the right side is the data viewing window. Data files are
loaded into the view window by double clicking on the file in the directory and file tree. You can view files from
different clients, farms, and fields within the same view window. Each map file that is loaded into the view page is
considered a single layer.
NOTE: Files created in fieldware programs are automatically given the “Client/Farm/field” format. Those created
in Swath XL & GuideLine products are not created in this format but can be stored that way using the
procedure described in Appendix A.
