40 Timer Recording Speed Setting
If a program is recording in SP and there is not enough tape to
record the entire program, the VCR automatically switches to SLP
to allow complete recording if TIMER REC SPEED is set to AUTO.
This feature is especially useful when you set a timer recording for
a program that is more than two hours long.
For example, when you record a program of 140 minutes in length
onto a 120-minute tape, the program is recorded in SP for about
110 minutes and in SLP for about 30 minutes.
