4.4 Setting the Network
To enable remote monitoring, recording, playing, or configuring the setting, you need to configure the network settings
first. There are five types of network setup: DHCP, PPPoE, Static IP, and DDNS. Consult your Internet Service Provider
(ISP) to determine the type of network connection you are using and the required parameters to complete the setup.
4.4.1 Network Settings
DHCP Configuration
The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is an auto configuration protocol used on IP networks.

In preview mode, right-click on the mouse to display the Pop-up menu.

Select Main Menu
> NETWORK.

On Type, select DHCP.

Specify the Client Port and HTTP Port numbers.

After all settings are complete, click Apply.

When data saving is complete, click OK.
PPPoE
The Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) is a network protocol for encapsulating Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)
frames inside Ethernet frames.

> NETWORK.

On Type, select PPPoE.

Specify the Client Port and HTTP Port numbers.

Enter the User Name (an email address) and Password.

Specify the DNS 1/DNS 2 IP addresses.

To enable UPnP feature, select Enable.
