34 Timer Recording (confd)
Press the Number I button to record in SP speed, press
the Number 2 button to record in LP speed, or press the
Number 3 button to record in SLP speed. Detoi/s about tape
speed are on page 29. You cannot use the (Tape) SPEED button at
this time.

Press two Number buttons for the month and two
Number buttons for the day you want the program to
record. For example, for July 10, 1997, press 07, lO.The day of
the week and the year will be displayed automatically {you cannot
program theTV/VCR to record more than one year in advance).

Press the STATUS/EXIT button. PROGRAM WAS COM
PLETED / PLEASETURN OFF FORTIMER RECORDING will
appear on-screen.

If there is not a tape in theTV/VCR, PLEASE INSERT CASSETTE
also appears on-screen.
o
If there is a tape without a record tab in theTV/VCR, PLEASE
REMOVE CASSETTE also appears on-screen. If this happens,
insert a different tape.

If PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED appears, start again at step I.
In five seconds the on-screen message will disappear.

Turn off theTV/VCR power.The REC(ord) light will flash, if you
forget to turn off theTV/VCR, PLEASETURN OFF FORTIMER
RECORDING appears on theTV/VCR screen two minutes before
a timer recording starts.
TheTVA^CR must be off for a timer
recording to take place!
Hake sure there is a tape in theTVA^CR.
Helpful Hints
PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED /
CLASH may appear on-screen when
you finish setting a timer recording.
This means that the timer recording
you just programmed and another
timer recording oveWop, and thus
the current timer recording wiH not
be carried out
To stop a started timer recording,
press the STOP/EJECT button on
theTV/VCR.
