Via a Relay Network
Relay Network
A relay network is a group of fax machines programmed to communicate with each other via a relay station. In this case,
"programmed" mear\s that certain numbers have been stored in the memory of each machine. These munbers, also
called parameters, are needed to identify the machines in the network.
Because the UF-766 can only serve as an initial sending station or end receiving station in a relay network, it is assumed
that you will not have to establish the network yourself. All you have to do is follow the procedure described here, and
certain instructions provided by the network organizer (usually the person controlling the relay station). You should
know, however, what kind of network you are going to connect to, and how it works. A sample network is shown on the
following pages.
