If a patient’s vital sign value falls outside of the upper or lower alarm range
limit,
STAT SET
turns off the alarm and the alarm limit. This is true for all alarms
except the lower SpO
2
limit and the lower ETCO
2
limit; these two alarm limits
can not be deactivated with the
STAT SET
button.
The lower alarm limit for SpO
2
is 50% while the lower alarm limit for ETCO
2
is 15
mmHg or 2.0% or 2.0 kPa, depending on the units used. To change or switch off an
individual alarm, see the procedure on page 3-10 in the Propaq Encore Reference
Guide.
