7 Connect the hard drive and power cables to the system board.
8 If applicable, install the SAS mezzanine card or the Infniband mezzanine

card. See "Installing the SAS Mezzanine Card" on page 75 or "Installing
the Infiniband Mezzanine Card" on page 77.

9 Install the expansion-card assembly. See "Installing the Expansion Card"

on page 71.

10 Replace the system-board assembly. See "Installing a System-Board

Assembly" on page 62.

11 Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system,

including any attached peripherals.

Opening and Closing the System

WARNING:

Whenever you need to lift the system, get others to assist you.

To avoid injury, do not attempt to lift the system by yourself.

CAUTION:

This system must be operated with the system cover installed to

ensure proper cooling.

CAUTION:

Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.

You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in
your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service
and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came
with the product.

Opening the System

1 Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect

the system from the electrical outlet.

2 Remove the securing screw from the system cover. See Figure 3-22.
3 Press the cover release latch lock. See Figure 3-22.
4 Grasp cover on both the sides with your palm on the traction pad, slide out

and lift the cover away from the system. See Figure 3-22.
