17. Attach the nose gear cover to the fuselage

using a #1 Phillips screwdriver and the four 2mm x

8mm self-tapping screws removed in step 1.

18. Cycle the retract unit to make sure the nose

gear strut and tires clear the gear door openings.

Some slight trimming may be required.

Add clear tape to both sides of the nose gear

door to help secure it to the fuselage.

Programs for the F-4 Phantom using the DX8 are

available for download on the Spektum website.

1. Use scissors to cut a piece of hook and loop

tape and apply it to the back of the speed control.

2. Use the hook and loop tape to attach the speed

control to the top of the fan. Route the leads for

the speed control forward in the fuselage. Use

two-sided tape to secure the switch where it can be

accessed when the canopy is removed.
