 3. Prepare a 5/64-inch (2mm) drill bit by wrapping
a piece of low-tack tape around the drill bit 5/8-
inch (16mm) from the end of the bit. This will act as
a marker so you don’t accidentally drill through the
top of the wing. Place the drill bit in a drill.
 4. Use the drill and drill bit prepared in the
previous step to drill the four holes for the landing
gear block or retract mechanism mounting screws.
 5. Remove the landing gear block or retract
mechanism from the wing. Use a #1 Phillips
screwdriver to thread a 3mm x 14mm countersunk
self-tapping screw in each hole to cut threads into
the landing gear rails. Remove the screws after
threading the holes.
