INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
CFS-8 & CFS-10
Outlet Box
(By Others)
Drum Housing
1. Remove two wingnuts holding reflector in fixture.
2. Remove reflector.
3. Determine outlet box size and remove appropriate
keyhole knockouts.
4. Make electrical connections. Connect ground wires to
green ground leads. Connect white (common) to white
leads. Connect power supply (line) to black leads.
WARNING: DO NOT pinch wires. Consult a
Qualified Electrician for all other options that
require other wiring configurations.
5. Place fixture drum over outlet box screw heads and
turn clockwise to stop.
6. Tighten outlet box screws.
7. Replace reflector and wingnuts.
8. Lamp Installation:
a.) Insert lamps into sockets until click is heard.
b.) NOTE: Use only 9W compact fluorescent lamps in
CFS-8 fixtures and 13W compact fluorescent lamps in
CFS-10 fixtures. If lamp does not slide in easily, check
wattage and try again. Do not force lamp into socket.
9. Installing Lens: (optional)
a.) Line up the three notches on the lens with three
retaining dimples on housing lip.
b.) Push lens up to seat squarely on housing lip.
c.) Rotate lens clockwise or counterclockwise until
rotation stop strikes a dimple on housing lip.

compliance with the National Electrical Code and local codes. The use of accessory equipment not recommended by
the manufacturer or installed contrary to instructions may cause an unsafe condition. Do not block light emanating from
product in whole or part, as this may cause an unsafe condition. Do not allow items such as drapes, curtains, screens or
the like to come into contact with the product or to block light from the product, as this may cause an unsafe condition.
