PREPARATION: Current reflector and lamp must be removed. Supply line must be disconnected to current socket. The current
socket can be set aside above the ceiling or removed completely. Power must be turned off and the supply line must be
brought to the opening in ceiling as on page 2.
A. Connect quick connect (1) to the supply line. Remove junction box cover (3) attach supply line to junction box (4) through
one of the knock-outs provided in junction box (4). Attach connector (1) to connector (2). Put all wires inside of junction box
(4) and install junction box cover (3). (SEE FIG. 1)
WARNING: DO NOT pinch wires between J-Box/ballast cover and J-Box. Consult a qualified electrician for all other options
that require other wiring configurations. Make sure all connections are tight and secure.
B. Slip junction box Assembly and flange ring (9) through hole in ceiling. (SEE FIG. 1)
C. With housing (6) in ceiling, the housing (6) can be rotated as needed to clear existing fixture obstacles and/or to be
positioned best for the flexible conduit, etc. If additional adjustment is needed, screw (7) and/or screw (8) can be loosened
and junction box (4) can be further moved. Ensure that screw (7) and (8) are retightened after this step. (SEE FIG. 5)
D. While pressing the bottom flange (9) tight against the bottom of the ceiling insert one support(10) into slot as shown. Press
support (10) down against the top of the ceiling and tighten screw (11). Repeat this step for other support (10). (SEE FIG. 6
AND 7)
E. Make sure that housing unit (5) is down through ceiling opening. Remove wing nut from socket housing unit. Place three
small reflector holes around post and two extrusions of the socket housing unit. If the reflector (11) has dissimilar lamp
windows, the largest lamp window needs to face the lampholders Place wing nut back onto post over the reflector; then
tighten. Lampholder(s) will be aligned with lamp windows in reflector. (SEE FIG 8)
