1. Loosen the two housing screws on either
side of the housing to release the fixture
mounting plate from the housing. These
screws are retained to the housing with
retaining washers. To remove, loosen one
screw several turns, then loosen the other
side, alternating sides. (a short
screwdriver may be needed if the fixture
does not have a stem). The plate will be
retained to the fixture by a flexible steel
cable.
2. Connect the power supply leads, ground
to the green wire, white supply wire
(common) to white wire, and black supply
wire (line) to the black wire.
3. Push the power connections into the
junction box and install fixture mounting
plate to the box using the screw slots
provided in the mounting plate. Adjust
plate to center it on the box and tighten
the box screws (by others).
WARNING: Do not to pinch the wires
between the mounting plate and the
box!
4. Align the fixture housing to the plate, lining
up the housing mounting screws with the
mounting plate standoffs. Start one
housing screw in its standoff and then
start the other screw on the opposite side
in its standoff. WARNING: Do not pinch
the wires between the mounting plate
and the housing! Tighten the housing to
the mounting plate to complete the
installation.
