kEEP ThESE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
5. Feed the wired J-tube assembly through the
ceiling cutout. The J-tube assembly has been
designed to conveniently lie on top of the ceiling
material. (NOTE: This fixture is designed for use
in a non-insulated ceiling.)
6. If the A2LED has not been aimed yet, set the
vertical angle by loosening the 4 thumbscrews
(2 on each side of the light engine) and position
it at the desired angle. There are notches at the
top of the slotted bracket that mark the vertical
angular position in 5 degree increments (from 0
to 30 degrees). Once the fixture is positioned at
the desired angle, re-tighten the 4 thumbscrews.
7. Squeeze the retention springs at the sides of the
reflector assembly and carefully insert the fixture
into the cutout, facing the direction that it should
aim when the installation is complete. Note that
the fixture can only turn in the counterclockwise
direction after installation (as viewed from the
room side), so insert the fixture into the cutout
slightly angled to the desired finished direction,
and turn it counterclockwise to point it in the final
desired position.
8. Once installed, a gentle slight clockwise twist will
secure the fixture firmly to the ceiling. Be careful
not to leave fingerprints on the reflector.
9. If needed, the A2LED can be removed from the
ceiling as easily as it was installed. Removal for
servicing or adjustment can be accomplished
by twisting the reflector counterclockwise while
applying a slight downward pressure. Once the
springs are accessible, squeeze them together
and keep them restrained so they don’t spring
outward and scrape or damage the ceiling.
Remove the fixture from the ceiling. The attached
J-tube assembly can easily be removed next if it
requires service.
