9.2 Electronic signature
Using the electronic signature, the
user of a tempering profile or a
protocol file can sign it digitally. The
digital signature is saved and
encrypted in the particular file. The
signature function is called via the
menu entry
„Security“ →“Signatures“.
An electronic signature is applied
when the reported Windows user
clicks on the appropriate field:

Authored
►
Reviewed
►
Approved
►
Responsibility
The date and name fields are then
automatically completed with the
user authenticated in Windows. The
digital signature is applied to the file by clicking on the OK button.
Every application of an electronic signature is documented by an entry in the audit trail file.
