Personal safety precautions

The instrument is equipped with the following safety devices: Handwheel lock and knife guard

on the knife holder.
The consistent use of these safety features and strict observation of the warnings and cautions

in these Instructions for Use will safeguard the operator from accidents and/or personal injury

to a great extent.

When working with cryostats, personal safety precautions must always be taken. It is

mandatory to wear work safety shoes, safety gloves, a mask and safety goggles.

2.3.2 Knife guard

The CN and CN-Z knife holders feature knife guards; the glass anti-roll plate

of the CE and CE-TC blade holders also serves as a knife guard.
