Setup and initial use

To use the instrument in a country with a different plug standard, use an ap-
proved adapter or have the plug replaced by a qualified electrician.
The plug sockets are located on the rear of the instrument (see chapter 5.4
page 28)
 Instrument is switched off.
 Hoses have been connected to the cooler of the rotary evaporator
1. Plug the power cable into the power input socket on the rear of the device.
2. Plug the power cable into a mains connection.
5.4.5 Switching on the circulating chiller
 Switch on the circulating chiller using the device switch (Fig. 5-1 (1)).
The circulating chiller is running, cooling liquid is being circulated, the
chiller is on.
Insufficient cooling liquid!
Insufficient levels of cooling liquid interrupt the circulation. This may cause the
condensation in the condenser of the rotary evaporator or in a different appli-
cation to stop. Excess pressure may build up, which may lead to dangerous
reactions.
 Ensure that the cooling liquid always remains at a level above the mini-
mum marker of the filling level indicator (Chapter 5.4.3 page 30).
