Keep this manual in a convenient location.
Be sure to give this manual to subsequent owners of the instrument.
3.1 General safety instructions
The circulating chiller may only be used
in technically sound condition
according to the intended use
if the operator has the necessary awareness of safety and potential haz-
ards
if the instructions in this manual are observed
Malfunctions
– especially those that impair the instrument's safety – must be
corrected without delay.
3.2 Intended use
The Rotacool mini is a circulating chiller especially used for:
Rotary evaporators
Indirect chilling of foreign substances by means of water or water glycol
mixtures.
This circulating chiller does not comply with the classification in accord-
ance with DIN 12876-1 chapter 4. The user should therefore run an addi-
tional risk analysis to locate and install any safety features which may be
necessary to operate the condenser outside of its designated use as de-
fined by us.
Any application other than those stated above shall be deemed inappropriate.
The manufacturer shall bear no liability for damage arising from such applica-
tions.
The risk shall be borne solely by the operator. Intended use includes following
the instructions in this manual and observing the terms of inspection and
maintenance (see chapter 7.1, page 33).
3.3 Improper use
The circulating chiller must not be used for purposes other than tempera-
ture control as described in the user manual.
Do not use the instrument in a corrosive atmosphere.
3.4 Use in potentially explosive environments
Do not use the instrument in potentially explosive environments. The in-
strument is not explosion-proof.
