Removal
1. Dismantle the pump head - see section “Pump Head” begin-
ning on page 6-17.
2. Dismantle the front oil seal assembly - see heading “Front Oil
Seal,” beginning on page 6-18.
3. Dismantle the pedestal mount from the gearbox, or from the
apparatus - see heading “Rear Oil Seal,” on page 6-21.
4. After removing of the front and rear oil seal mounts, the shaft
assembly must be supported and pressed, or lightly tapped
forwards from the back end until the two front bearings are
free. Use a soft faced hammer (e.g., dead blow hammer).
Carefully remove bearings from the housing.
5. Dismantle the drive shaft components by supporting the oil
flinger closest to the main bearings on two parallel bearers.
Then gently press the shaft from the rear until the inner race of
the rear bearing is clear of its location diameter.
The remaining components are slide-fit to the shaft.
6. To remove the front-matched angular contact bearings, sup-
port the inner race adjacent to the largest shaft diameter on
two parallel bearers and press the shaft from the front end
until both bearings are free of the drive shaft.
The rear outer roller bearing assembly is a slide fit in the
housing.
