Using a USB Cable to Connect
Brother Machine to PC for MFC-9650
(Using Windows
® 98 Only)
Please find your Windows ® 98 CD-ROM before you begin.
A USB cable is not included with your Brother machine, Before you can
set up the USB interface, you must purchase a standard USB cable. Or, if
you prefer to set up the parallel cable, please see “Connecting Brother
Machine to PC Using Parallel Cable”.
1 After you have set up the MFC and checked that it is working
properly, make sure your MFC is turned on and your PC is turned
off.
2 Connect the USB cable to both the MFC and the PC.
3 Turn on your PC.
