The following illustration shows the front and back panels of the Toshiba
Equium 8000S computer and the locations of the various ports and
features.

Drive access light
The drive-access light illuminates when the hard
disk is in use.
On
Power/Sleep light
The power light illuminates when power is on.
This button should only be used when absolutely necessary (i.e., the
system locks up and is not responsive), as all unsaved data will be lost.
Y Green means the computer is in full-power mode.
Y Orange means the computer is sleeping (in Standby mode).
Y Unlit means the computer is turned off or is in Hibernation mode.
Reset button
Press the reset button to reboot the computer.
Power/Sleep button
Press the Power button to suspend and resume
the system. For normal shut down procedures,
use the shutdown steps or menu options for
your computer’s operating system. To power off
the system, press the Power button and hold it
for approximately four (4) seconds.
