5. Verify the position of the handle on the transceiver. If the transceiver is
in the S1 slot, the handle should be in the upright position, as shown in
Figure 41. If the transceiver is in the S2 slot, the handle should be in
the down position.

6. Connect the fiber optic cable to the transceiver, as shown in Figure 42
on page 88. The connector on the cable should fit snugly into the port,
and the tab should lock the connector into place.
