4. Press SIM Security, and enter the lock code and
press . The screen displays the following options:
• Edit PIN Code: Allows you to edit the PIN code. (PIN
number must be locked before editing.)
• PIN Lock: Allows you to lock/unlock the PIN code.
• SIM Lock: Allows you to lock/unlock the SIM code.
Note: SIM Lock prevents your phone from using a non-Verizon SIM card. To
disable the SIM lock, you need to contact VZW Global Customer
Support (1-800-711-8300) for an authorized SIM Unlock code.
System Select
The System Select menu allows you to set your roaming options.
For more information, refer to “Roaming Options” on page 28.
NAM Select
Your phone provides the option of selecting between two NAMs
(Number Assignment Modules) or phone numbers. Select either
NAM1 or NAM2.
1. From the home screen, press MENU.
2. Press the Directional key to highlight Settings
& Tools and press .
3. Press Phone Settings.
4. Press NAM Select. The following options appear in
the display:
• NAM Select
• Auto NAM Select
5. Make your selection and press .
Quick Search
Quick Search is an easy way to locate contacts in your Address
Book and Menu items.
1. From the home screen, press MENU.
2. Press the Directional key to highlight Settings
& Tools and press .
3. Press Phone Settings.
4. Press the Directional key Up to highlight Quick
Search and press .
5. Press the right soft key Info to display detail
information about Quick Search. Press to return to
Quick Search Menu. Select On or Off and press .
