Language and Input
Use Language and input settings to choose a default
language for your phone's operations, plus settings for text
entry and other inputs.
Default Language
Choose the default language for operating your phone.
1. From the Settings screen, tap

2. Under Input and control, tap Language and input ➔
Language to select a default language.
Default Input Method
Select default input method you will use when accessing
the keyboard.

3. Under Keyboards and input methods, tap Default to
select Samsung keyboard or Swype.
Samsung Keyboard
The Samsung Keyboard is an on-screen QWERTY keyboard,
so you can enter text by "typing" on the keyboard. Samsung
keyboard is enabled by default.

page 25.

Under Keyboards and input methods, Samsung keyboard
is enabled by default.
3. Tap to configure options:
• Input languages:
– English (US): Choose a keyboard configuration to be used at
the default format (Qwerty keyboard [default] or 3x4 keyboard).
– Select input languages: Choose language(s) for use with
Samsung keyboard. When you have more than one language
enabled, you can slide your finger on the space bar while
entering text to switch languages.
