Date and Time
By default, your device receives date and time information
from the wireless network. When you are outside network
coverage, you may want to set date and time information
manually using the date and time settings.
1. From the Settings screen, touch General tab ➔
Date and time for options:
2. Touch Automatic data and time to use the network-
provided date and time.

3. Uncheck the above setting and manually enter the
following:
• Set date: Enter the current date.
• Set time: Enter the current time.
• Automatic time zone: Use network-provided
time zone.
• Select time zone: Choose your local time zone.
• Use 24-hour format: Set the format for time displays.
• Select date format: Set the format for date displays.
Accessory
To change accessory settings:
� From the Settings screen, touch General tab ➔
Accessory. These options are available:
HDMI
• Audio output: Select a sound output format to use
when connecting your device to HDMI devices. Some
devices may not support the surround sound setting.
Book cover
• Automatic unlock: Flip the cover open to unlock the
screen when secure lock is turned off.
• Daynote: Show the quick note pad when the cover is
flipped open.
• Unit: Set unit options.
